1. Who are you and what is the name of your company?
Our company is named, Classic Rock Art Kulture (C.R.A.K.TM) and our product is C.R.A.K.Shot Energy, a 2 oz energy shot.
2. How many people work for your company
We have a small to medium size team.
3. How long has your company been in business
Classic Rock Art Kulture (C.R.A.K.TM); has been a team since 2005; and C.R.A.K.Shot energy-shot was formulated and conceived in 2007, and first produced in 2008.
4. Who came up with the idea for the original C.R.A.K.Shot? What’s the story behind it?
It was a team effort. Classic Rock Art Kulture stands for the spirit that is American Rock n’ Roll. The brand name C.R.A.K. was chosen to do what Rock n’ Roll has always done: promoted rebellion against blind assumption. Since the progression of Rock music is a vertical, C.R.A.K.Shot commissions both renowned pop-artists, famous for their album covers, and it supports independent and locally known bands.
5. How and why was the flavor chosen?
The lemonade flavor was chosen because it is easily mixable with any other types of liquids, including: water, sport drinks, sodas, and any type of alcohol. The lemonade flavor is sweet and refreshing.
6. Why a shot and not a drink?
The idea of energy shots is a fresh and new concept in the beverage industry. We believe that a shot, as opposed to an energy drink, allows the drinker more versatility. A shot is only 2oz, yet it supplies enough power- without the crash, excess sugar and water. Our shot is as powerful as 1.5 cans of the leading energy drink.
7. Tell me who designed the bottle and why the design was chosen?
Our current rock-art image of a skull emerging from an ace was commissioned by a renowned rock-and-roll album cover artist, Ruby Mazur. The rest of the packaging, like the idea to use a clean white bottle, was a team effort.
8. How did you deicide which ingredients to put in C.R.A.K.Shot
We worked with many different flavors and combinations. The 2.oz sugar-free energy shot consists of a carefully blended mixture of B-vitamins, taurine, guarana and caffeine- roughly two cups of coffee’s worth. We chose these ingredients because we believe they are the simplest, yet most effective.
9. Do you plan on releasing other flavors or maybe even a full size energy drink
Yes, in the near future we are releasing a fruit punch variety.
10. Who is your target market
We treat all C.R.A.K.Shot consumers equally. College students and young adults, sport players and high endurance, gym-goers, exhausted adult workers, truck drivers and heavy machinery workers, hobbyists, travelers, and vacationers. Students are always compounded by hectic schedules. Their lack of time and energy prohibits them from fulfilling their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. C.R.A.K.Shot’s low price allows every discretionary or non-discretionary spending group a means to better focus on their tasks. For gym-goers and extreme sport players, C.R.A.K.Shot’s B+ vitamin and amino acid complex allows them to achieve mental focus in a small, efficient amount. Tired workers- especially those suffering from their “mid-day slump”- lack energy and attentiveness to finish their day. C.R.A.K.Shot is a safe, “no crash,” alternative to caffeine and sugar loaded stimulant drinks.

12. What are your feelings on the current controversy concerning mixing energy drink and alcohol
We encourage responsible drinking and decision making. Excessive alcohol consumption is dangerous- regardless of what it is mixed with.
13. Where is C.R.A.K.Shot currently distributed/sold? Do you plan on extending distribution to new areas
C.R.A.K.Shot is sold through our website (www.crakshot.com) and other internet sites. It is most heavily distributed in our home base of the New York area. We’re always working to expand distribution.
14. So C.R.A.K.Shot endorses bands. Tell us about some of the band that C.R.A.K.Shot is endorsing. Do you endorse other events or people.
We are proud to sponsor both local and nationally received bands. Sponsorships are great because it really helps us keep in touch with our target market, allowing us to be integrative and accessible.
Currently we endorse ‘Before Their Eyes,’ ‘Handshakes and Highfives,’ ‘Four Letter Lie’, as well as countless others. These bands have wide followings and are seen on nationally traveling tours.
