925 Energy

This is one of the shots that caught my eye right off with its slick packaging. This is not your extreme athlete or party looking shot. It’s one of those shots that a more mature and sophisticated person would not mind being seen with. You have your upscale energy drinks and now you have your upscale energy shot. Does it perform though?
Packaging: Starts of with the usual plastic shot bottle. The bottle is shrink wrapped in a really sharp glossy black, brown, and white label. On the lid which is brown are two words in white font “Energy” and “Power”. The front of the label is smooth glossy black with the 925 logo on it. The logo is 925 and the 2 in 925 has a little lightning bolt kind of graphic to it. Further down is a rectangular brown section thet reads “Power Shot” in white font. Below that is the slogan. The left side has a couple of sun and moon kind of graphics that read am/pm and pm/am. Back has nutrition facts. Grade A- for packaging. This is one of the classiest and clean looking labels I have seen on an energy shot. It really is a great design and you can tell it was manufactured with quality in mind.
Slogan: It’s on the front and it reads “Work All Day. Party All Night” Very nice slogan that lets you know this shot is great for all situations where you might need a boost. Grade B+ for slogan
Taste: There are so many of these shots now days and they all seem to have the same flavors. I was glad to read this would be a different flavor. I twist off the lid and pour the shot in a shot glass. It comes out a peach color with a nice fruity cherry scent. I take a sip and it has a nice sweet black cherry flavor. The Cherry flavor is very tart and somewhat sour at the finish but it has no aftertaste or bitterness. I am impressed. This is a nice tasting shot and a break from the usual flavor. They did a good job with the sweetness level which in not too high and the sour finish really kicks it off good. I think maybe they should consider making a full sized energy drink with this flavor. Grade A- for taste.
Kick/Ingredients: I have actually tried this shot on several other occasions and each time it worked great. After 10 or 15 minutes I get a nice stiff increase in energy that is on the verge of jitters level but stops just short of being jittery. Each time I tried this shot I easily got 4 hours of medium to high level energy with no crash. So what makes this shot work so well? Caffeine 120 mg, Glucuronolactone, N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine, citrulline malate, Green tea extract, Yerba mate extract, Ginseng, Vitamin B12 at 13883% of your dv, and plenty of other B vitamins. All this comes with 6 calories and no carbs or sugar. It is sweetened with sucralose. Grade B for kick/ingredients
Web Presence: They have a pretty decent website at 925energy.com that is worth a visit. There is not a lot to do there for fun or anything but it does provide all the info about the shot you need to know. It has About, Product benefits, Caffeine Comparisons, where to buy, and more. It has a nice stylish look and is easy to navigate. Grade B- for web presence. It gets the job done.
Recap:
Ok so if there is a shot that really has a chance to grab some market from 5 hour energy I think 925 is the one. It has the sleek professional packaging that everyone will feel comfortable having in their purse, pocket, briefcase, manbag(ok skip the manbag)or just sitting on their desk. It also has a great taste that goes down easy and is not the usual. To top it off it has a good kick combined with a huge dose of B12 and other B vitamins along with some good antioxidants. Give this a try if you can find it. I think in the USA you are more likely to find it labeled as “Player Aid” in a very similar package with the same great shot inside. No matter what it is called though it is good.
