Bad Boy Turboshot Lemon

This is my second Bad Boy Turboshot. When I first tried the original I was impressed by the kick and package but the taste was not to my liking. Lucky for me Bad Boy makes several flavors. Always a smart move in my book to offer variety. I mean if you only offer say a grape flavor then you have no chance at a consumer who hates grape. Bad Boy is doing the right thing by offering Lemon, Orange, and Original as well as offering a Bad Girl shot. I’m reviewing the Lemon this time.
Packaging: Bad Boy Turbo shot starts off with the usual 2 oz plastic shot bottle. They shrink wrap it in a yellow label. Starting off with the lid you get a miniature Bad boy logo and the flavor printed on it. On the main part of the label you have the bad Boy logo which is an angry looking face. Then you get the flavor and the name in different colored fonts over a red tribal type graphic. To the left of this is an appealing image of half a lemon. Further down you have benefits listed “Enhance performance, Fight fatigue, and Increase Stamina” all in a black font. At the very bottom it has “Instant Energy Boost”. Overall a pretty nice looking package. I like the entire wrap being yellow so you know it is lemon. I will give this version a grade of B for packaging.
Slogans: Slogan same as last time. “Hours of energy whenever you need it what ever you need it for. To me this says we are making sure not to leave anyone out. This is a shot for all reasons and people. Grade B for slogan
Taste ect: I twist off the cap and get a mild lemon scent. Pouring some in a glass it comes out a bright yellow color. I take a sip and it is a slight lemon flavor. Not a real strong flavor and not very sweet. There is still some bitterness at the finish but not a lot. This is much better than the original I think. If you don’t like a lot of sweetness then this would be a good shot for you. I know a lot of people don’t like the taste of artificial sweeteners and this one keeps that level down. Grade C+ for taste
Kick/Ingredients: No need to drink as fast since the taste was better. I still drank it in about 2 sips. After I drank it my energy level increased rapidly and I was feeling like getting things done but had no jitters at all. I was easily going at it for 3 to 4 hours and there was no crash. Energy ingredients are Caffeine, Taurine, Glucuronolactone, Inositol, and B vitamins. You get 10 calories, 1 gram of carbs and no sugar. I will give them a grade of B for kick.
Web presence: The website at badboydrinks.com is pretty well done and easy to navigate. You get Product info, available at, events, gallery, News, and more. It is up to date and really done professionally. I notice now that you can also buy these online at Beverages Direct which is a nice addition. I give them a Grade of B for web presence.
Recap:
I had high hopes for this being a better flavor than the original and in a lot of ways it was. The kick was still there and the package is much sharper I think. I like the Bad Boy image and think it fits well with an energy shot for sure. This is worth a shot I say if your looking for a good mid level burst of energy. Try it and let me know what you think.
