Bad Boy is a company involved in MMA fighting, energy drinks, and apparel. I have seen their drinks in the past but these shots are new. There a 3 or 4 flavors but I thought I would start of with the original.
Packaging: Bad Boy Turbo shot starts off with the usual 2 oz plastic shot bottle. They shrink wrap it in an all black label. On the lid you have the Bad Boy name and logo. At the top of the bottle you have the Bad Boy logo which is an angry looking mouth and eyes in white. Then you have the name “Bad Boy Turbo shot” in a mixed lot of red black and yellow font with a reddish flame type tribal design behind it. In the middle of the bottle it list several benefits in a white font followed by “Instant Energy Boost” in a yellow font. At the very bottom you have the tribal design circling the bottle. Back has the usual supplement facts. I give them a grade of B- for packaging. I like the logo but I think they should tone down the font colors a bit and stick to a couple of colors. I do think the overall design works well with the Bad Boy image though.
Slogans: Found this on their website. “Hours of energy whenever you need it what ever you need it for. I thought it was a little long but really I think it works by saying it’s the shot for everybody. Grade B for slogan
Taste ect: I had no idea what the flavor is supposed to be. I twisted off the cap and got a classic RB clone scent. I poured some in a glass and it came out a dark brown liquid. I took a sip and I got some citrus and orange and maybe a hint of vanilla followed by a lot of bitterness. It was not super sweet at all like some shots but you won’t be sipping on it for sure. It’s a shot though so you probably don’t care if it is tasty or not. I have hopes that their other flavors are better though. I give them a grade of C- for taste
Kick/Ingredients: I slammed it down quickly and waited. I got my energy going in about 20 minutes. Once it got going it preformed pretty well and I was definitely jacked up. The energy kept me going for 3 or 4 hours and there was no crash. Ingredients include Caffeine, Taurine, Glucuronolactone, Inositol, and a good dose of B vitamins. I will give them a grade of B for kick.
Web presence: Their website at badboydrinks.com is pretty well done and easy to navigate. It has all the stuff you need like Product info, available at, events, gallery, News, and more. It is up to date and really done professionally. I give them a Grade of B for web presence.
Recap:
It was a slow start but after it going it was a pretty good jolt of energy. It has all the attitude you need and comes in a nice package. I can easily overlook taste in an energy shot so really that is not that important to me. If you’re looking for a mid level blast of energy I say grab this bad boy and slam it. I only wish they listed the caffeine content.
