Cougar Double Shot
Ok what we have here is an energy shot for women. Now I am not a woman. That said I think I can still make a pretty good assessment of this energy shot. It is aimed at women but that does not mean it is not just as good for men? 5 hour is probably the leader in women’s energy shots and I know many men who use them. Let’s get to it.
Packaging: These shots come in the typical white plastic shot bottle except these are 2.5 ounces as opposed to most which are 2 oz. The bottle is shrink wrapped in black with a swirly pattern towards the top and a big pink imprint of a woman’s lips over it like it has been kissed. In the middle is the name Cougar in pink font and “energy drink for women” in white. Towards the bottom is a little pink cat image. The back has nutrition facts. I think it has appeal to women both young and old. I do think that maybe they should increase the font size on the name and “energy drink for women” so it is easier to see. Overall a pretty nice package. Did I mention they have a secondary foil seal under the cap? I love the secondary seal as it keeps things fresh. Grade B for packaging
Slogan: None on the bottle but on their site they have these. “Energy Passion Weight loss” and “Grab a Cougar” For a women oriented shot I think these work pretty well. Grade B for slogan
Taste: I twist off the top and what do I get? It has a very unique berry based scent and a little vitamin smell. I pour some in a shot glass and it comes out a very unique reddish orange color. It looks very different and is organic looking with a dense coloring. I take a sip and it one of those hard to pin down flavors. You get some strawberry, cherry, green tea, and a hint of cranberry. Really it taste more natural than a lot of shots and the artificial sweetener used is not upfront at all. You can’t tell by taste that this is an artificially sweetened shot. Grade B+ for taste. Really you need to try it. It is very different from you usual shot and I know you will like it.
Kick/Ingredients: So far this is turning in to quiet a surprise. I drank this shot down and with its increased size it could be 2 servings easily. I was not slammed with energy but I had a gradual rise in energy up to a very high level. The buzz was not jittery at al. I was zooming along with great energy and focus for 5 hours easily and there was no crash. This shot really breaks out with a unique line up of ingredients. Start out with 150 mg of caffeine, huge dose of B vitamins, and green tea extract. Then you get a bunch of other quality ingredients like Aloe vera, wolf berry extract, Noni extract, prune powder, cranberry powder, grape seed powder, wild blueberry extract, pomegranate extract, and a lot more. Look here for complete list. These ingredients provide a wealth of benefits and really raise this shot up a notch. There no calories or carbs either. I give them a grade of A- for kick/ingredients. Decent amount of caffeine and a wealth of other healthy beneficial ingredients make this one of the better shots out there.
Web Presence: For a new up and comer they really have a quality website at cougarenergydrink.com. The site works very well with their product and market. It is easy to look at and navigate. It has all the info you need like ingredients, product info, news, testimonials, cocktails(I’m going to have to try those), and if you want you can order some through PayPal. They also have a myspace I will give them a B for web presence

Wow I think if this shots gets proper distribution it really could put a dent in the 5 hour energy market at least for women. If you’re a woman trust me this is a better product than most of the shots you have been using. It has all the energy you want and loads of other healthy ingredients. If you’re a secure enough of your manhood to buy this I say don’t pass this up. It really is a great performer and we should not let women have this one all to themselves.
